The artistic excellence of the Knoxville Symphony is showcased in April’s program with Richard Strauss’ daring and brilliant “Don Juan.” One of the leading violinists of her generation and musical legend Midori returns to Knoxville for the first time in 15 years to present Beethoven’s lyrical Violin Concerto. Jonathan Leshnoff celebrates the retirement community in East Tennessee with a brand new KSO commission inspired by the quilting exhibition at Shannondale of Maryville.
