Make Music Day is a free, outdoor music celebration observed worldwide each year on June 21, the first day of summer. The celebration features music of all genres and is open to anyone who wishes to participate. Performances take place in parks, patios, and in public squares. Make Music Day started in 1982 and has since grown to over 750 cities worldwide.
All performances at the Tennessee Theatre will take place under the marquee at the entryway of 604 S. Gay Street.
1:30pm–2:30pm: Knoxville Opera
2:45pm–3:45pm: Knoxville Jazz Youth Orchestra
4:00pm–5:00pm: Knoxville Jazz Workshop
