Your annual membership donation is instrumental in our success and allows us to expand the ways we serve the community. Over the last five years (since the inception of Friends of the Tennessee), with members’ generous support we have been able to:

  • Host free community events such as the annual East Tennessee History Day, many open houses, and the monthly Mighty Musical Monday concert, all of which allow us to open the Theatre’s doors to the community so that all may enjoy its splendor
  • Expand our children’s programming with the introduction of two new annual events – Costumes and Classic Cartoons and Cookies with Santa
  • Invest over $1.1 million in capital improvements for ongoing preservation and necessary upgrades (new stage floor, advancements in lighting and rigging, changes to HVAC systems, etc.)
  • Build partnerships with local organizations serving children to provide access to the arts and exploration of this iconic Theatre and its history through tours
  • Provide rich cultural and artistic experiences that illuminate and inspire

A Friends of the Tennessee Membership makes a wonderful gift! To purchase a gift membership, please call Cameron Skillen at 865.684.1200 ext. 198.

As a member, you may purchase up to four tickets per show. We would love for you to bring friends with you to shows, but we discourage purchasing tickets on friends’ behalf on a regular basis. If you have friends, family, or colleagues who wish to get the best tickets for shows they wish to attend on their own, please encourage them to become a member. If you have any question about this policy, please contact Cameron Skillen 865.684.1200 ext. 198 or [email protected].

Members get access to the best available seats and the total number of tickets available to members is not limited (as a whole; each household is limited to four tickets per show). While there is a pre-sale for newsletter subscribers, there is a very limited quantity of tickets available through that pre-sale, and the seating locations are scattered throughout the house.

VIP packages are coordinated and managed by the artist. While there are some exceptions, most VIP packages are sold online only, are subject to ticket fees, and cannot be sold through the Tennessee Theatre Box Office in advance.
