FAQs

The 90 Year Gala will raise funds to help us preserve this historic theatre for all to enjoy for another 90 years. In 2017, we invested nearly $300,000 on capital improvements such as replacing the stage flooring and upgrading LED lighting, theatrical and technical equiptment upgrades, and building maintence. Since the restoration and reopening in 2005, we are dedicated to maintaining the investment made by the community and your donations will help us in doing so. In addition to preserving the building, your support will help us open the theatre to the community for free programs such as Mighty Musical Monday, Costumes and Classic Cartoons, East Tennessee History Day, open houses, tours, and more. It is our desire that everyone has the opportunty to experience the magic of the Tennessee! Money raised from this event will help fund these free programs.

Yes, a portion of the ticket price is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. We will provide a letter including this amount after the event.

Premium seats are located in the pit, first several rows of the orchestra level, and the first 2 rows of the balcony.

Your VIP ticket will provide entry into the theatre before the doors to the public open. The check-in table will be in the lobby where you can register for the silent auction. Our ushers will greet you and make sure you are directed to check-in.

The pre-show reception will be held in the balcony foyer.

While we may not be able to accommodate all dietary restrictions with the limited menu of hors d'ovres, please alert us when you purchase your tickets and we will do our best to accommodate.

We want you to dress for the experience you'd like to have. Cocktail or dressy casual are both acceptable.

While the Tennessee Theatre does not own or operate any parking lots or garages, there are several options for parking downtown. The State Street garage, Locust Street garage, and Market Square garage are available for free parking on weekends.

There are many events and activities happening in and around downtown. Please allow ample time to find parking and arrive at the theater. We cannot guarantee parking will be available near the theater.
