The Tennessee Theatre's iconic marquee serves as the centerpiece of historic Gay Street.

Finding the Tennessee Theatre

From I-40 East: Take Exit 388a, James White Parkway to Summit Hill Drive, (first exit). Turn right onto Summit Hill Drive. Turn left onto Gay Street at the third traffic light. The Tennessee Theatre is located at 604 South Gay Street.

From I-40 West: Take Exit 388, James White Parkway to Summit Hill Drive, (first exit). Turn right onto Summit Hill Drive. Turn left onto Gay Street at the third traffic light. The Tennessee Theatre is located at 604 South Gay Street.

Parking

Due to construction, the State Street garage located behind the Tennessee Theatre is currently only available to monthly parking pass holders during regular business hours, however will still be available for free parking evenings starting at approximately 6 p.m. and on weekends.

Parking is also still available for most night and weekend performances at the nearby Locust Street and Market Square garages. Additional parking lots and on-street parking are located throughout the Downtown area. Click here to download a current and easy-to-read map.

Parking is free in the State Street, City's Market Square, and Locust Street garages, and on meters, from 6 p.m. weekdays and all day on weekends - except for specific special events.
